The
Bug and the Flea out West
The
Bug And The Flea, Trekked Out West
They Took The Trip, For A Little Rest
They Hitched A Ride On A Horses Mane
And Climbed Under The Rein, If It Happened To Rain
It Could Take A Month, To Cross A Mountain
And The Rocky Terrain, Could Scramble The Brain
Then Half Way Across The Parched Open Plain
The Perky Indians, Attacked The Wagon Train
As The Flea Left His Hiding Place
A Tomahawk, Flashed Passed His Face
That Was Close, Said The Bug To The Flea
Looks Like They Are Out To Scalp You And Me
That's The General Idea, Said Custer
But Not One Platoon, Could He Muster
Sound The Retreat, He Ordered The Bugler
He Then Began, To Fumble And Fluster
Wild Bill Hicock Soon Got A Shock
When He Found Out, His Guns Wouldn't Cock
But Rescue Was Not Far Away
The Bug And The Flea, Soon Joined In The Fray
The Texas Rangers Just Took A Back Seat
But The Bug And The Flea, Wouldn't Hear Of Defeat
Sitting Bull Was Forced To Retreat
When The Bug Bit His Back, And The Flea Bit His Feet
Now The Wagon Train Rolls On
In The Heat, Of The Scorching Desert Sun
And People Tend To Disagree
On How, The West Was Won
But When All Is Said And Done
It Was Not Won By The Gun
Nor The Horsefly And The Stinging Bee
It Was Won, By The Bug And The Flea
