The
Bug and the Flea in Sherwood Forest
When
King Richard decided to join the crusade
The sheriff of Nottingham thought he had it made
He had planned to sit back and relax
With the fortune he would make from fiddling the tax
But
the Bug and the Flea never refused a helping hand
So they decided immediately to make a stand
They joined Friar Tuck, Little John and Maid Marian
And became outlaws in Robin Hoods band
They
carried long rusty swords and long wooden bows
And looked like nerds with their long goaty beards
They wore long feathered hats and long pointed shoes
And had ugly knobbly knees from climbing the trees
Said
the Bug to the Flea, if we dyed out tights green
We could hide in Sherwood forest and never be seen
I have already told Robin and he seems very keen
He likes to dress in camouflage, if you know what I mean
The
sheriffs men were soon put to the test
They knew they were going against the best of the best
And they should have worn their Bug proof vests
When they entered the forest to make the arrests
Robin
thought he was out of luck
When the sheriff's men struck
For Friar Tuck got stuck in the muck
And Little John was to big to duck
When
the sheriff demanded they yield
Alan A Dale threw down his shield
But the Bug and the Flea held their own
And soon King Richard was back on the trone
With
his soldiers depleted, the sheriff was defeated
All wrongs were righted and King John was delighted
Maid Marian was excited, all england was united
Robin Hood was cited and the Bug and the Flea were
knighted
